A non-profit organisation (we often refer to them as 'agencies' or 'community organisations') is a group whose aim it is to help the community. Any money that is received by donations, government grants, etc. is put back into the organisation in order to serve the community. Businesses, on the other hand, develop goods or services in order to make a profit.
