Community service as part of the school program
Giving service to the community is an important value in our society. As you've logged on to this website you probably think it's pretty important too.
In 2007 all students from Year 10 will be able to do this through the Community Service Program.
What's the Community Service Program about?
The Community Service Program will give students opportunities to serve their community as part of the school program. This service can be in the school community as well as the wider community
Through the program students will be expected to contribute a minimum of 20 hours to help others.
Students already involved in service activities out of school hours will be able to count the time spent on them towards their 20 hours of service.
Students will able to do their community service over Years 10 and 11.
From 2009, the 20 hours service will count towards the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) students receive at the end of Year 12.
